Providing food that is safer, healthier, a source of well-being and accessible to populations with different needs and, «bioproducts»  to propose sustainable alternatives to materials and chemical molecules currently derived from fossil resources

The CEPIA Division (see on Tweeter @INRA_CEPIA) has built its 2016-2020 strategic roadmap (included in the INRA strategic Plan #INRA2025) to address two key challenges

  • the rational design of food and bioproduct quality (see on #INRA2025 #Food-2; #Food-3; #Global-4; #BioRes-2)
  • the development of eco-efficient processes for sustainable product manufacture (see on #INRA2025 #Food-3; #3Perf-3; #BioRes-3)

The CEPIA division reaffirms its commitment to build its research together with the concerned economic sectors, regions, and other research, development, training and teaching institutions, first, to contribute to innovation in order to provide food that is safer, healthier, a source of well-being and accessible to populations with different needs and, second, in the area of what we refer to as «bioproducts» or «biosourced products», to propose sustainable alternatives to materials and chemical molecules currently derived from fossil resources.
This 2017 edition contains numerous examples of a wide variety of research. It is not an exhaustive panorama but, instead, an annual update that will allow you to follow the evolution of our research and progress in terms of results.
